Trailers
are the result of an comprehensive design and development effort, during
development the
latest 3D computer aided design and finite element analysis tools were used
to design, test and improve the product.

A
key innovation of
our development effort was Bikelugs unique V-shaped
folding trailer beam, this triangulated shape allows extremely high
strength and light weight while also being convenient for the fact that
a motorcycle wheel of any size will self-center in the V.

While trailer manufacturers usually use commercial grade 'building'
materials we use high strength low alloysteel
developed specifically for the automotive industry. Our HSLA
steel has double the strength of most
commercial grade steels allowing us to prduce a very light unit without
compromising strength, HSLA steel also has enhanced corrosion
resistance.
Laser
cutting HSLA steel
We
laser
cut our parts for precision and fold them using computer controlled presses to
maximise consistency, quality and reliability. Welding and inspection
are done by
hand before the parts are powder coated to provide an attractive and
robust finish.
No
other folding or collapsible trailer has the careful design &
attention to detail of a Bikelug Collapsible Motorcycle Trailer and no
other similar product
is as easy to assemble from so few parts.
